Do you enjoy meeting new people, driving sales, and witnessing the fruits of your labor? We're looking for a dedicated director of sales to assist the hotel in reaching its sales targets. You'll be in charge of developing our sales strategy and goals, training and assessing our sales force, collaborating with sales managers, and ensuring that we create new and recurring business from various hotel sectors. • Report on sales activities for the previous and future weeks in meetings with department leaders, and prepare a monthly expense report for all hotel sales-related expenditures
• Evaluate information gathered from market data and create a plan to meet design marketing deliverables, hotel financial goals, and create an annual sales forecast
• Formulate sales strategies that sustain high levels of occupancy and profitability in collaboration with department managers and their goals
• Solicit new guests with targeted outbound sales initiatives, such as personal calls to your network and phone solicitations to local professionals, travel agencies, and other groups that will generate new revenue
• Create methods to help the sales team reach and surpass monthly room booking targets that are in line with the hotel's overall revenue management goals

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of computer-based software such as Microsoft Word and Excel
• Excellent leadership skills, analytical skills, and communication skills
• Must have relevant experience of 5+ years as a sales professional, preferably in the hospitality field
• Previous hospitality industry experience preferred but not required
• Demonstrates a proven track record of success in sales through lead-generation and closing
• Must have a high school diploma or GED and a bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field
