How You’ll Make an Impact
Dudek is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 5-8 years of experience in an environmental, health and safety role(s) and will assist the management team in ensuring compliance with all applicable environmental, health, and safety regulations.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Track metrics and ensure compliance with the Company, Client, State, and Federal requirements.
  • Lead incident investigations utilizing various investigation techniques and practices to identify root causes, potential controls, and system improvements for various practices.
  • Manage various client portals with document, data, and training requirements.
  • Lead company Safety Committee.
  • Assist EHS team in tracking client training requirements on client portals and assign training as needed.
  • Provide safety documentation support for project planning as needed.
  • Provide support for workers compensation cases.
  • Assist in EHS program development, review, and implementation.
  • Strong understanding of project paperwork and requirements.
  • Good problem-solving skills in dynamic and evolving safety culture.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 5-8 years of experience in environmental health and safety field.
  • Knowledge of environmental, health, and safety standards, regulations, and best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and with a team.
  • Understanding of Workers Compensation laws.
  • Basic understanding of Hazard recognition, controls, and program implementation.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent written, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and have active personal automobile liability insurance by first day of employment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • OSHA Certifications:
    • OSHA 510/511
    • OSHA 30 Hour certification
    • 40 Hour HAZWOPER
  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
  • CHST / OHST or similar.
Compensation: $105,000 - $115,000 annually.*
*Final agreed-upon compensation will be based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s related experience, education, certifications, skills, and work location. Successful candidates must pass a pre-employment drug test and background check prior to beginning employment.

Environment
  • This job operates in a remote or office-based environment and this role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, etc.
  • This job may also require occasional project site visits, based outdoors which can include excessive noise, uneven walking surfaces, extreme weather, and moving vehicles and equipment.
