Emergency Medical Transport Specialist - Advanced EMT/Paramedic

Essential Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality direct patient care under licensed practitioner supervision
• Perform specialized diagnostic and therapeutic procedures within scope of practice
• Execute safe patient transport throughout the hospital facility
• Provide comprehensive assistance with activities of daily living and comfort care
• Maintain medical equipment and supply inventory
• Document patient care data and observations accurately
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and infection control standards
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams

Required Qualifications:

• Current Virginia State certification as EMT-Advanced, EMT-Intermediate, or EMT-Paramedic
• Valid AHA BLS-HCP and ACLS certifications
• Commitment to obtaining PALS, Haz Mat Awareness, NRP, and PHTLS/BTLS within first year
• Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Physical capability to assist with patient movement and transport

Preferred Qualifications:

• One year EMT-Advanced, EMT-Intermediate, or Paramedic experience
• National Registry certification
• Previous hospital or healthcare facility experience
