Job Description

Job Summary: The Media & Outreach Specialist is a dynamic and creative role responsible for producing engaging audio and video content, organizing and promoting events, managing digital marketing and social media strategies, and leading community outreach initiatives. This position requires a strong knowledge of the Catholic Faith and a commitment to the mission. The individual will play a key role in amplifying the mission of Iowa Catholic Radio and growing our presence throughout the state of Iowa and beyond. Key Responsibilities: Audio & Video Production:

  • Record, edit, and produce high-quality audio and video content for broadcast and digital platforms.
  • Collaborate with hosts and guests to ensure professional and compelling programming.
  • Maintain studio equipment and assist with live streaming and podcast distribution.
Marketing & Communications:
  • Develop and execute marketing campaigns to support programming, events, and fundraising.
  • Create print and digital materials, including flyers, newsletters, and press releases.
  • Maintain brand consistency across all communication channels.
  • Represent the organization at events and ensure a welcoming, mission-aligned presence.
Social Media Management:
  • Manage and grow Iowa Catholic Radio's presence on Facebook, Instagram, X, YouTube, and other platforms.
  • Create and schedule engaging posts, including graphics, videos, and interactive content.
  • Track analytics to optimize performance and engagement.
Community Outreach:
  • Build relationships with local parishes, schools, and community organizations to increase awareness and involvement.
  • Plan, promote, and execute Iowa Catholic Radio events including speaker series, parish visits, and community engagement activities.
  • Coordinate promotional visits and speaking opportunities for Iowa Catholic Radio staff.
  • Identify new opportunities to expand community engagement and listenership.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, media production, marketing, or related field preferred.
  • 2+ years experience, or demonstrated ability in audio/video production, marketing, or event planning.
  • Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Final Cut Pro or similar tools.
  • Strong knowledge of Catholic faith and commitment to the mission of Iowa Catholic Radio.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work independently.
